Farm Philosophy

Firemist Farm is dedicated to producing Warmbloods that have the soundness and disposition 
to succeed in sport with longevity. We have been breeding for over 20 years with a focus on 
nutrition and infant care designed to prevent orthopedic diseases BEFORE THEY START!

To this end, only ration-balanced feeds are utilized, beginning with the broodmares. Foals are 
trimmed more frequently than adults and their growing legs monitored for any changes. Deworming 
is also more frequent as it has been determined by neonatologists that young foals are far more susceptible to parasite damage than their older companions. This program has produced horses 
with a history of longer, sounder performance careers in all disciplines than the average Warmblood breeding facility.
