FOALS
Foals
from proven mares with good nutrition are on the path to a
successful future in sport, but that is just the beginning.
Firemist
babies spend their first three years on ration balanced feeds,
are dewormed every 4 weeks and have visits from the farrier
every 3 weeks. Large Warmblood foals who grow rapidly go through
frequent changes in hoof and leg balance, and many problems
which plague adult athletes can be prevented or even corrected
at a young age. After several months changes are permanent, and
by monitoring foals for any deviations from a correct
foundation, many leg issues can be easily prevented.
Foals
are also sponges for information, and by exposing them to a
broad variety of sights, sounds and experiences we can make
future training issue-free.
Our
focus is breeding for dressage and show -jumping prospects with
medium to large frames and strong hind-quarters, correct legs
and strong, well-shaped hooves. The majority of our mares live,
and have competed, barefoot.
